Flush Mount Ceiling Fan Overview
A flush mount ceiling fan can significantly lower energy costs which is important in today’s economy. They can move warm air away from the ceiling to help heat your home more efficiently in the winter. In the summer, a ceiling fan can circulate cool air throughout the house which reduces the load on your air conditioner. Many people use ceiling fans instead of the air conditioner, because the cooling breeze they generate is quite comfortable.
Rooms with low ceilings or narrow areas such as a hallway or walk-in closet are ideal for a flush mount ceiling fan, because they do not have a downward attachment for hanging. They fit completely against the ceiling, so they are also called ceiling huggers or hugger fans. Minka Aire ceiling fans are a popular choice. They have 3 speeds plus a reverse function, and they come with a convenient hand held remote control. The finishes available include brushed nickel, bronze, maple, mahogany and white. There is even a model rated for wet locations that can be used outdoors.
A flush mount ceiling fan with a heater is carried by many home improvement stores, and it distributes heat evenly throughout the year. In a two story house, the upstairs is usually too hot while the downstairs is too cool. This type of fan will correct that and save money on electricity. Unheated garages and porches as well as houses without double paned windows can benefit using a heated fan. Reiker makes a nice unit with 4 built in ceramic heaters, and it has 3 speeds that are reversible so that it is able to blow upwards instead of down if needed.
Another good flush mount ceiling fan is made by Harbor Breeze, and their ceiling fans come in many styles and finishes to match any decor. Harbor Breeze is the store brand of Lowe’s, and they are only made for and sold at Lowe’s home improvement stores. The Lakeside II is the most popular ceiling fan, and it has 6 blades that come in either white or bleached oak finish. It has 3 speeds as well as reverse, and it comes with a lovely frosted glass light kit.
I prefer these types of fans because they are not likely to break soon.
Because they are flush does that mean they are less likely to wobble and weave?

Do you have any other sites that I could visit or could you possibly make a recommendation as to where I might be able to find some more information?
